The Braintree Yacht Club is dedicated to the promotion of safe and responsible recreational boating. We are strongly committed to the preservation of our environment, and maintain a strict no-overboard-discharge policy.
Located at the head of the Fore River, the Braintree Yacht Club enjoys some of the most protected waters in all of Boston harbor.   The waters at the head of the Fore River are ‘brackish’ in nature, containing a combination of fresh and salt water. This makes for a natural estuary, which supports a variety of wildlife. The river is home to varied species of birds, fish and even an occasional seal in the springtime.  We take the stewardship of our river very seriously.
